Haven't blogged in a while. But this calls for one. Getting a text that "michael jackson died. Oh wait, hes in the hospital" didn't send me into panic. Watching on the news that "Michael Jackson hospitalized" didnt even send me into panic. Cuz I knew he was a survivor. Everything he ever went through in life, he survived.
So when I finally heard he died, of course I was in utter shock. For the longest time it didn't hit me, but in the past few hours it has. It's so sad. Sad knowing that I'll never get to meet him, sad knowing I'll never get to see him perform, sad knowing I can't be one of those crazy fans screaming for him outside venues of fainting when he walked by. I always wanted to be one of those, cuz when I was younger I wanted to marry him. My brother would be MJ and I wanted to marry him haha. He was the reason I started to love dancing and feel in love with every guy who could dance.
Watching his music videos was hard all day. Couldnt get through one. But listening to his songs was good cuz it actually made me smile. I couldn't listen to anything else but him. When Drake came on I got pissed haha. I'm actually really happy for him. He doesn't have to suffer with all the bad news surrounding him. He can moon walk it up in Heaven. He is the greatest musician of all time and will always be. He influenced EVERY musician and EVERY dancer so he'll be missed for that, but also be deeply appreciated and honored. It's a shame he wasn't able to get through his last 50 shows and say a proper goodbye, but that just goes to show life is too short and things are so unexpected.
Without Michael Jackson, music wouldn't be what it is today. I can't believe how many times MJ's name came up this week, and suddenly he's gone. But, he's not gone. MJ will live forever in our hearts. EVERYONE'S hearts.
