Earlier today I was listening to a girl and her friend talk about how they both just lost family members to cancer. Then I thought about how I've never had to go through that, how nobody close to me has ever had cancer, nor have I lost anybody close to me. You can only have so much good, before the bad comes, and I'm bracing myself for it. It'll be ok.
I then started to think about just how great my life is. I have a family and friends that love me, a house to live in, a bed to sleep on, food to eat, clothes to wear, and a school to go to. What more do I need? Absolutely nothing. And I know that. At least three times a week I just go through all of these things in my head and I'm so thankful for everything I have.
But I don't see why some people can't see this. As much as I've always been there to lend an ear to people and always will be, I don't know what goes through people's heads. When people are complaining about the stupidest things, I just wanna scream "what does it even matter? you already have everything you need". It just becomes too much. People really need to realize what they have and not worry so much about the petty things. Everything happens for a reason, and eventually that reason just might be for people to realize this.
